What a weekend! Saturday was a blast. We went to my favorite local (kind of) dirt track, Canandaigua Speedway, to see my favorite dirt series, Sprint Cars, and my favorite driver, Tony Stewart. It was AWESOME! (and yeah, dirty, but hey- a dirt race is supposed to be!)
Yesterday I made great progress in editing The Lost Princess, a companion novel to Quest of the Hart. Working off the tablet PC makes it seem as though I am reading a book, and lets me make notes about places to change, and typos to fix. It's amazing how much you can catch when looking at your work in a different font and format!
So, how was your weekend? What did you do? I'd love to hear about it!
Hi, Mary! I spent the weekend recovering from last week's vacation. While I was on vacation, I read the current draft of my WIP on my Kindle. You are so right. Looking at your work in a different format does help you view it with new eyes!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds like a blast. I used to love going to the speedway when we lived in Michigan. I miss that here. I just haven't adjusted from the speedway to the rodeo.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was great! Friday was my birthday (I'm still 25 in case you're wondering - ha ha) and my family made the weekend a mom's choice weekend. So that was nice. We didn't do anything elaborate, but I got to pick what dinner THEY COOKED, what movies we watched, and things like that. It was really, really sweet of them.
And the icing on the birthday cake weekend is, I woke up this morning to some good news. I hope to be making an exciting announcement soon. :)
Michelle :)
Great weekend! We had a blast at our little getaway. I so feel you on the tablet reading. It's amazing what you can find when you read through the eyes of a reader. I was like talking out loud to myself. And I wasn't nice either. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to come spend a weekend with you. I have never been to a speedway, so I would probably ask you a lot of insanely annoying questions as I shook my head in complete confusion. But hey, it do that to you anyway :)
