Happy June!!!!

Hopefully all of you made it through the storms last week with little/no problems.  We had heavy rains, high winds, and tornado threats here, but fortunately no damage.  Power was out to several people in our area over the weekend, but as far as I know most of it has been restored by now.

We had a great cookout with family and friends on the new deck Monday (finally the weather cooperated!!!) It was so nice to have the area to entertain on.

I'm getting to the end of my re-writes for my WIP, and catching up on some reading.  My son and I are reading through the Percy Jackson series (we're on THE TITAN'S CURSE), and I am reading JACOB WONDERBAR AND THE COSMIC SPACE KAPOW.  What titles are you reading or is in your TBR pile???

  1. Hey I'm reading Lightening THief right now. :) I just finished Hunger Games. ANd before that, I read a MG story hitting shelves this July called Charlie Joe Jackson's Guide to Not Reading. Very very cute!

No storm here, BTW. It's been sunny and hot.:)

  3. Man, it's the year for crazy weather I guess! Glad you all are OK. Love the Percy Jackson series, and the new Last Hero book is great as well. Riordan is from San Antonio and I've got a few signed copies if his books.

  4. Fires no, thankfully. The drought is awful though. We haven't had much rain in 6 or 7 months and the temps have been in the mid to upper 90s for weeks now ... and it's barely June! That's hot even for South Texas. :-)

Praying and hoping for rain, or maybe even a Gulf Hurricane or three. (Those tend to bring us a lot of moisture.)

  5. Wow! That is awesome. I already read the series, and reading it out loud to my son at night-- he is loving it. Always asks "Can't you read another chapter?" and when I say not tonight, he asks "Then can I read more?"

Glad things are well for you. Having any problems with the drought/fires? Hope not!.
