Cover Reveal- WORTH THE EFFORT~ELLA'S STORY by Kai Strand

Today I'm super excited to be part of Kai Strand's cover reveal for Worth the Effort~Ella's Story. Welcome, Kai!

Hi everyone! My name is Kai Strand. I’m visiting Mary’s blog today to share the cover of my upcoming young adult contemporary romance novella, out next month. I’m super excited. After you read the blurb and excerpt, and see the great cover, I hope you will become excited too. Thanks for reading!

About the book:

Ella Jones is a coward. There is a teen boy living in the alley behind her work and she is terrified of him.

Desperate to leave behind the stereotypical and judgmental world she was raised in, Ella forces herself to make a true connection with seventeen-year-old Ayden Worth. As their friendship grows Ayden’s quiet, gentle ways teach her true courage.

But there’s more to Ayden’s story than Ella knows. When their worlds collide in the most unexpected place, Ella feels betrayed. Will she find the courage to learn who Ayden really is, or will she determine he’s not worth the effort?

Excerpt:

“Here. Two sugars and a shake of cinnamon, just how you like it.”

Our fingers brush as he takes the cup. The warmth of his are like a concussion bomb and make me flop gracelessly into my chair.

“Thank you,” he says.

The simple delivery is more powerful than if he’d fallen to his knees to kiss my feet. Every inch of his being and every nuance of his voice are appreciative of anything I do for him. I’m not going to lie. It makes me want to do a lot of things for him.

Happy Book Birthday!!!

Today is a very special day. Why? Well, because it's the book birthday for two AWESOME books and two separate Rafflecopters (be sure to read all the way to the very end- you don't want to miss out on these deals!!!)

IMPERVIOUS- Debut novel for author Heather Letto and BookFish Books

The residents of Impervious are the remnant—survivors of the War of Annihilation. And though the city is chockfull of pleasures to tantalize and entertain, a beast lurks in its corners haunting the residents with its presence. The Beast—a mysterious and terminal illness―has killed off most of Generations One, Two and Three. And as Gen-Four prepares to take the stage a provocative, yet questionable, new method to avoid an untimely death becomes a cultural rage.

But Fran is counter-cultural. And living off the grid in true rebel fashion, her life is far from opulent. Scurrying through dark tunnels, searching for hot meals and ditching the holographic security team encompass most of her day. However, she views it as a healthy trade-off. Unaccountability means The Council can’t steal her sliver of hope―a belief that she’ll see The Epoch arrive before the beast can pull her into its fetid embrace.

After losing her mother and then her Rebel mentor, however, she grasps painfully onto the splintered sliver, until a new hope is born. First through Pete. And then through a miraculous discovery.

But the question still haunts her…

Can she outrun The Beast?

Impervious is available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble

Today is also the book birthday for FIRE OF STARS AND DRAGONS, debut NA novel by Melissa Petreshock.

Following the death of her vampire uncle, twenty-one-year-old CAITRIONA HAYDEN finds herself in the midst of a trio of quintessential alpha male suitors in 22nd century sovereign America where human females should be seen and not heard.

Theo Pendragon claims her as his ward, ordained to guard her through to a long-awaited destiny unbeknownst to Cait, but finds more than he expected when passion ignites within the dragon for the first time. Always drawn to the pursuit of knowledge rather than the heat of desire, powerful demigod Dante cannot deny everything his future holds in Caitriona. America's monarch, ancient vampire Corrin, has no interest in the frivolity of love, yet marrying Cait could be the answer to his continued survival.

Soon, Cait goes from studying for college exams to choosing a husband in seven days, knowing the consequences are eternal, the love undying, and the bond timeless.

FIRE OF STARS AND DRAGONS is a New Adult Fantasy Romance set in a world filled with shapeshifting dragons, a powerful demigod, an ancient vampire monarch, and a sassy human chick keeping them all on their alpha male toes.

Liebster Award

I am thrilled to have been awarded The Liebster Award- a blogger-to-blogger honor- by Heather Brainerd. Thanks, Heather!!  You can find more about Heather HERE and HERE.

Heather twisted up the rules, and being a bit of a rule breaker myself, I love it! So, here are my answers to the two questions Heather picked out of the 11 possible choices.

1) Coke or Pepsi? I don't drink much soda, but I do use Coke for Rum and Cokes. So, I guess I have to say Coke.

2. What are you doing today in another universe, if parallel universes actually exist? I love the idea of parallel universes and would like to think my alternate self would be a princess, but not just any princess. I'd like to be like Rielle (from DIFFERENT KIND OF KNIGHT) and be a warrior princess.

Now, for my nominees. You're supposed to nominate 11, but I'm going to go with these awesome bloggers:
