It's that time of year again when we look back over the year to see the goals we set for ourselves and how we did meeting them.
Here are the goals I set last year and how I fared at meeting them.
1) Return to a weekly walking schedule of 3-5 times a week on the
treadmill. Umm. Let's just say this one didn't go so well, but I will be adding it to my list again.
2) Find an agent to represent my polished Sleeping Handsome (when it is ready, of course!) Another unresolved resolution. Although, I am currently working on this very story, under the new(old) title of Quest of the Hart.
3) Finish The Ruby Dagger (my NaNo project) This was accomplished. Yay!!!
4) Edit The Lost Princess to reflect the changes from Sleeping Handsome (and to reach my word count) Another accomplishment, although out of order. I finished Sleeping Handsome and went back to work on Quest. I don't know why, but it just needed to be done that way.
5) Begin drafting A Different Kind of Knight Another still in progress goal.
6) Begin outlining Daphne's story (no working title yet!) I guess I should have been more clear with this one as a year later, I don't recall what I meant. Hmm. I wonder if I jotted something done somewhere.
7) Spend lots of quality time with family and friends While I did spend much quality time with family and friends, I always look to spend more with them.
8) Keep active with my blog post Even though I cut back to two posts a week, I feel I met this goal.
So, now for 2012 (Can you believe it is only a few days away???)
1) Set and keep an exercise routine
2) Continue to write, edit, and complete the two series I have started (Quest of the Hart, Sleeping Handsome, and A Different Kind of Knight; The Ruby Dagger and The Silver Shroud)
3) Keep more balance in my life with work, life, writing, and reading
How did you do with your goals in 2011? What goals do you have for 2012?

Goals
I've been neglecting my blog lately because life has become quite busy, and as much as I like sharing things with all of you, I've been taking that time to spend with family and friends or write.
With that in mind, I've decided to set some goals for myself, and I thought I would share them with you so you can help keep me on track! So, here they are:
1) Finish current WIP by the end of August. I am in the revision stage, so this shouldn't be too difficult, or at least I hope not!
2) Reach 50 followers on my blog and on Twitter. My question to those of you with many followers is this: How'd you do it??? I would love some advice on how to get to more people as followers.
Hope you all had a great weekend. I'll be posting some recipes later this week (have a few I wanted to share). Have a great day!

Where, oh where, has my walking gone???
Well, we're four days into the New Year, and I'm already behind in the exercise department. I was cutting myself some slack for the first (it was a holiday, after all) and the second, as I was still getting over a cold, but I fully intended to get up early and walk yesterday.
However, I could tell Hubby hadn't turned on the heater to warm up the back porch for me before he left for work (and I completely understand his reasoning why), and the bed was so cozy, so needless to say, no walking occurred. Not a problem, I'd just walk at night. Oh, but I needed a haircut (I really did- it hadn't been cut since before Thanksgiving!) Well, there was only one girl working at the place we went, and while she did a good job, it took a lot longer than I was used to. So, walking didn't happen.
But, it will. I will get back on that treadmill and walk and walk and... Well, you get the idea!
How are your goals going? Have you given up some (it's OK- I understand if you have!) Are you revising some? Adding new ones? Share below!

Happy New Year!
When I was growing up, I remember there being the Sugar Bowl, the Cotton Bowl, the Orange Bowl, and the Rose Bowl. I admit I don't watch much college football anymore, but the last few days I've been hearing scores announced for all these Bowls games with names I've never heard before. Is it just me, or do all these new Bowl games diminish the importance of the original ones?
Now that I've gotten that out of my system, on to today's post.
New Years is a time to make resolutions. I admit I am as sporadic about making them as I am keeping them. But, I am hoping by sharing my resolutions with you, that I will do better at keeping more of them this year. So, here goes (these are in no particular order-- just as they came to mind).
1) Return to a weekly walking schedule of 3-5 times a week on the treadmill. (This should be easy, all I have to do is convince my body to get up in the morning!)
2) Find an agent to represent my polished Sleeping Handsome (when it is ready, of course!)
3) Finish The Ruby Dagger (my NaNo project)
4) Edit The Lost Princess to reflect the changes from Sleeping Handsome (and to reach my word count)
5) Begin drafting A Different Kind of Knight
6) Begin outlining Daphne's story (no working title yet!)
7) Spend lots of quality time with family and friends
8) Keep active with my blog post (I am still aiming for M-F, unless things become really hectic in life)
Well, I think that's a good start. How about you? What resolutions are you making? Do you need help being accountable to them? Share below!
Happy New Year everyone!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone.
Last year was a good year for us. We made several camping trips with friends and spent time with family. We all enjoyed good health, for which I am very grateful. We purchased a new car and made repairs on the SUV. I went on a road trip to a concert and came back with an internet full of new friends.
2010 looks to be another fun year for us. My parents will be celebrating their 50th anniversary on the 15th of January. They are taking a trip to Florida with friends who are also celebrating their 50th anniversary. Congratulations to all of you-- you give the rest of us something to work towards. In honor of my parents accomplishment, we are hosting a party for them and I get to make the cake. I will be breaking out the decorating kit and hitting the stores this week for supplies. They didn't have a reception when they were married (at least not that I've heard of) so I'd like this to be special for them.
In August we are looking forward to hosting a camping trip with our internet friends. We planned it for the weekend of the Spiedie Fest and Balloon Rally. Details for the rally can be found here.
What is a spiedie you ask? Well, the answer is here.
Of course, I plan to keep working at this blog (and I have pictures to post here soon!) I also am working on the writing. I have posted two Leverage fan fiction works at Leverage Fan Fiction as Tweety14. I have a story done that I am considering self publishing or trying to publish through a publishing company. I am still looking into both options and will keep you posted on what I decide to do. I have another story in the works that I am working on the opening of. Watch for snippets here and let me know what you think.
My nephew will be graduating from boot camp at Fort Knox this month, too. Hoping we can take a road trip to see it. I am also looking forward to making other trips to see new and old friends.
As for resolutions:
1) Take off weight and keep it off with healthy diet and exercise.
2) Publish/submit a manuscript
3) Have fun with friends and family
Hope that your 2010 is full of many fun filled days. Feel free to post your resolutions in the comments.
