What I've Been Reading

Thanks to all of you who participated in last week's fun.  Today I decided to do a roundup of what I've been reading so far this year. The truth is, I want to see what you're reading and see if I've missed something good!

Read since January1:
Monarch by Michelle Davidson Argyle
The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
Simon's Lady by JulieTetel Andresen
First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones
(I've re-read a few old harlequins that were themed for the holidays, too)
I also started a sample of The Seven Folds of Winter, byCarolyn McCray, and will probably get the book as so far it is quite interesting and enjoyable.

How about you? What've you been reading this year? As you can see, I read a fairly wide variety, so what would you recommend I read?

  1. Mary, I have passed on the Liebster Blog Award to you. Please see my blog for more info. I hope you don't mind. :)

I also read Hunger Games this year. I'm currently reading The Wednesday Wars, and I have read about 8 other books since January.

First Grave on the Right sounds really interesting. I'll have to check it out. :)

  2. I don't really make all that much progress on my reading. I get a couple of hours a week while I'm waiting for Andrew to do his karate stuff.

But I'm reading Dies the Fire. It is your typical end of the world as we know it novel. But guns are useless and they have to use medieval weapons for self defense.

I have The Hunger Games on deck so I read it before the movie reaches NetFlix. If I see the movie first I won't read the book. Even though I'm sure there will be few similarities.

  3. I've read the first book in the Hunger Games trilogy and have the second one ready to go! I also enjoyed Delirium and Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver.

  4. The Hunger Games trilogy was wonderful, in my humble opinion. I have been reading Roland Yeomans The Legend of Victor Standish forever. Reading has very much taken a back seat to my writing pursuits. There just aren't enough hours in the day to do it all :-)
